Hearing God’s Voice

Scripture: 1 Samuel 3:10; John 10:27

Contemplative: Listening in silence for God’s whisper.

Contending: Pray our church becomes a listening people.

Scripture reveals a God who speaks and a people who are invited to listen. Like Samuel, we quiet ourselves and say, “Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening,” trusting that Jesus still guides His sheep by His voice. In the silence, we learn to recognize His whisper over the noise of the world. From that place, we contend that our church would become a listening people—attentive, obedient, and responsive to the voice of God.

Speak, Lord, for we are listening. Quiet every competing voice and train our hearts to recognize Yours. Shape us into a people who listen with humility and respond with obedience. May we follow You closely, guided by Your voice and led by Your Spirit. Amen.
